O Father,

My daughter is like the softest treasure,
So precious and so beautiful to me.
O cherish her within your gentle arms of care,
Cradle her and nourish her, until she’s fully grown.
Nurture every facet of her unique heart and mind,
Until every bud of promise comes to flower.
Give her all she needs,
The light, the warmth, the sun,
To push her roots down deep into you,
To learn and to grow.

I dedicate her to you,
May she shine alive and free.
May she come to know you as her friend,
And trust you with her deepest dreams.
She’s such a gift, I can not express the depth of love I feel.
And yet I know you love her more,
The daughter of a King.
